Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 1.28% or 0.66 points to trade at 52.30 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 1.12% or 0.16 points to end at 14.50 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 0.61% or 0.25 points to 41.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 3.29% or 0.40 points to trade at 11.61 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 2.49% or 0.16 points to end at 6.06 and Mandatum Oyj (HE:MANTA) shed 1.85% or 0.08 points to 4.29.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 115 to 43 and 31 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 2.21% or 1.75 to $77.29 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.36% or 1.78 to hit $73.78 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.49% or 13.10 to trade at $2,663.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 103.01.
