Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which rose 4.65% or 2.10 points to trade at 47.30 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 1.21% or 0.120 points to end at 10.010 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 0.88% or 0.23 points to 26.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.17% or 0.1820 points to trade at 5.5620 in late trade. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) declined 1.68% or 0.31 points to end at 18.20 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) shed 1.46% or 0.07 points to 5.07.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 72 to 66 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.09% or 0.84 to $76.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.64% or 0.42 to hit $65.53 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1302.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.25% to 1.1770, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8783.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 93.57.
