Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 0.95% or 0.33 points to trade at 35.10 at the close. UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 0.83% or 0.19 points to end at 23.00 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 0.47% or 0.07 points to 14.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 1.53% or 0.80 points to trade at 51.45 in late trade. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) declined 1.48% or 0.61 points to end at 40.63 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) shed 1.16% or 0.31 points to 26.44.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 71 to 70 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.75% or 0.92 to $51.65 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.66% or 1.29 to hit $47.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.55 to trade at $1293.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1806, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.9227.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.17.
