Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.11% or 0.2450 points to trade at 8.1350 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 3.02% or 0.170 points to end at 5.790 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was up 1.66% or 0.24 points to 14.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which lost 2.79% or 0.21 points to trade at 7.32 in late trade. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.82% or 0.200 points to end at 10.790 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 1.01% or 0.055 points to 5.370.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 80 to 58 and 15 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.13% or 0.57 to $50.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.43% or 0.20 to hit $46.98 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.62% or 7.98 to trade at $1290.88 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.19% to 1.1744, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.9118.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 93.53.
