Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 1.51% or 0.25 points to trade at 16.82 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 0.71% or 0.16 points to end at 22.84 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 0.65% or 0.17 points to 26.21 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 0.93% or 0.50 points to trade at 53.55 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 0.58% or 0.19 points to end at 32.77 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 0.56% or 0.040 points to 7.115.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 78 to 62 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.11% or 0.07 to $64.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.22% or 0.13 to hit $58.23 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.65% or 8.30 to trade at $1278.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.1847, while EUR/GBP fell 0.17% to 0.8855.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 92.96.
