Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 1.68% or 0.245 points to trade at 14.870 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.47% or 0.42 points to end at 29.08 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.33% or 0.102 points to 7.746 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which lost 1.52% or 0.28 points to trade at 18.41 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.01% or 0.048 points to end at 4.708 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) shed 0.88% or 0.16 points to 18.12.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 69 to 67 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.12% or 0.08 to $64.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.15% or 0.09 to hit $60.80 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.17% or 2.20 to trade at $1324.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.2376, while EUR/GBP fell 0.12% to 0.8862.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 89.69.
