Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.02% to hit a new 52-week low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which rose 2.83% or 0.26 points to trade at 9.27 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 2.56% or 0.10 points to end at 4.09 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 2.28% or 0.21 points to 9.33 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI), which lost 2.20% or 0.23 points to trade at 10.23 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 2.04% or 0.06 points to end at 2.79 and Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) shed 2.01% or 0.23 points to 11.23.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 81 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.05% or 0.04 to $72.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.71% or 1.21 to hit $69.37 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.36% or 35.51 to trade at $2,643.61 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.63% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 107.49.
