Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 1.66% or 0.27 points to trade at 16.27 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.29% or 0.60 points to end at 46.99 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 1.28% or 0.23 points to 18.13 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA), which lost 1.87% or 0.40 points to trade at 20.94 in late trade. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) declined 1.82% or 1.60 points to end at 86.35 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 1.65% or 0.10 points to 5.97.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 112 to 56 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 1.40% or 1.00 to $72.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.59% or 1.08 to hit $68.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 2.55 to trade at $2,608.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 100.43.
