Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 1.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 5.73% or 1.30 points to trade at 23.99 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 2.74% or 0.165 points to end at 6.190 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) was up 2.66% or 0.41 points to 15.84 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 4.79% or 0.1460 points to trade at 2.9040 in late trade. TeliaSonera AB (HE:TLS1V) declined 3.95% or 0.184 points to end at 4.480 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) shed 3.45% or 0.132 points to 3.696.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 103 to 71 and 3 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.35% or 0.17 to $49.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.24% or 0.58 to hit $46.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.86% or 10.20 to trade at $1190.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.52% to 1.1415, while EUR/GBP fell 0.66% to 0.7364.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 94.22.
