Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.86% or 0.2450 points to trade at 6.5950 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.66% or 1.01 points to end at 39.03 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 1.58% or 0.22 points to 14.14 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 1.89% or 0.072 points to trade at 3.740 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 1.48% or 0.080 points to end at 5.310 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 0.64% or 0.25 points to 38.91.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 72 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $46.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.49% or 0.22 to hit $45.11 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.23% or 2.95 to trade at $1276.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.16% to 1.1022, while EUR/GBP rose 0.06% to 0.8911.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 97.93.
