Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.03% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which rose 2.44% or 0.84 points to trade at 35.21 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.15% or 0.110 points to end at 5.230 and Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 1.69% or 0.180 points to 10.800 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 2.10% or 0.78 points to trade at 36.41 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 1.82% or 0.57 points to end at 30.69 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) shed 1.53% or 0.105 points to 6.760.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 84 to 58 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for March delivery was down 2.09% or 1.19 to $55.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 2.27% or 1.22 to hit $52.50 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.76% or 8.80 to trade at $1160.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.41% to 1.0412, while EUR/GBP fell 0.18% to 0.8499.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.78% at 103.17.
