Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 3.00% or 0.415 points to trade at 14.245 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 2.44% or 0.1540 points to end at 6.4600 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 2.40% or 0.64 points to 27.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which lost 0.58% or 0.046 points to trade at 7.860 in late trade. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 34.88 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) gained 0.23% or 0.06 points to 25.75.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 48 and 16 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was up 1.09% or 0.70 to $65.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.70% or 0.43 to hit $61.77 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 0.70 to trade at $1356.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.51% to 1.2440, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8857.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 88.86.
