Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 2.87% or 1.60 points to trade at 57.30 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 2.16% or 1.07 points to end at 50.65 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 2.08% or 0.32 points to 15.72 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 0.10% or 0.04 points to trade at 41.59 in late trade. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 0.04% or 0.01 points to end at 27.01 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) gained 0.05% or 0.02 points to 36.78.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 36 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was down 1.73% or 0.90 to $51.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.52% or 0.74 to hit $48.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.24% or 3.17 to trade at $1290.83 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.1787, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.9080.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 93.25.
