Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 8.15% or 0.32 points to trade at 4.27 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 3.33% or 0.30 points to end at 9.44 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 1.86% or 0.06 points to 3.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which lost 4.71% or 2.30 points to trade at 46.56 in late trade. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 4.17% or 0.67 points to end at 15.29 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) shed 2.04% or 0.99 points to 47.53.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 88 to 76 and 23 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 2.03% or 1.51 to $72.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.09% or 1.48 to hit $69.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.84% or 22.75 to trade at $2,730.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.21% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.23% at 103.41.
