Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.92%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.03% or 0.170 points to trade at 5.775 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 3.01% or 0.2450 points to end at 8.3950 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 1.84% or 0.65 points to 36.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 0.40% or 0.09 points to trade at 22.49 in late trade. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) added 0.09% or 0.04 points to end at 45.04 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) gained 0.12% or 0.05 points to 40.82.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 48 and 17 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.68% or 0.35 to $52.01 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.80% or 0.38 to hit $47.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 4.46 to trade at $1292.24 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1765, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.9166.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 93.37.
