Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI), which rose 2.60% or 0.28 points to trade at 11.05 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) added 2.49% or 0.19 points to end at 7.81 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 2.46% or 0.43 points to 17.94 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 4.02% or 0.59 points to trade at 14.09 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.46% or 0.05 points to end at 3.24 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) shed 0.83% or 0.30 points to 35.74.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 116 to 53 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 0.96% or 0.70 to $73.51 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.98% or 0.68 to hit $69.94 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 2.70 to trade at $2,752.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP fell 0.72% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 104.09.
