Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT), which rose 11.63% or 2.94 points to trade at 28.21 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 5.83% or 2.74 points to end at 49.77 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 2.08% or 1.35 points to 66.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI), which lost 2.39% or 0.26 points to trade at 10.44 in late trade. Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) declined 1.96% or 0.44 points to end at 22.06 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) shed 1.47% or 0.44 points to 29.44.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 73 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.64% or 1.22 to $73.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.14% or 1.53 to hit $70.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.20% or 5.45 to trade at $2,682.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 100.50.
