Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Financials, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI), which rose 6.16% or 0.64 points to trade at 11.03 at the close. TietoEVRY Corp (HE:TIETO) added 2.27% or 0.39 points to end at 17.58 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 1.28% or 0.61 points to 48.21 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 2.62% or 0.11 points to trade at 3.94 in late trade. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 0.93% or 0.10 points to end at 10.69 and Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) shed 0.28% or 0.05 points to 15.96.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 82 to 73 and 32 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.08% or 0.06 to $74.28 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.24% or 0.17 to hit $70.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 17.30 to trade at $2,708.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.23% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.37% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.14% at 103.54.
