Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 5.11% or 0.4150 points to trade at 8.5350 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 2.28% or 0.145 points to end at 6.515 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 2.16% or 0.36 points to 17.01 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which lost 1.68% or 0.36 points to trade at 21.01 in late trade. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) declined 0.67% or 0.31 points to end at 46.16 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) shed 0.46% or 0.20 points to 43.65.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 90 to 46 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was down 0.53% or 0.32 to $60.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.15% or 0.08 to hit $54.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.50% or 6.36 to trade at $1276.86 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.15% to 1.1628, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8761.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 94.60.
