Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Utilities and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 2.64% or 0.65 points to trade at 25.30 at the close. Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 2.50% or 0.098 points to end at 4.016 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 2.42% or 0.67 points to 28.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 2.55% or 0.170 points to trade at 6.505 in late trade. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 1.27% or 0.2200 points to end at 17.1000 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 0.71% or 0.24 points to 33.47.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 81 to 68 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 2.86% or 1.69 to $60.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.60% or 1.31 to hit $51.73 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1229.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.06% to 1.1343, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.8848.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 96.873.
