Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Utilities and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.35% or 0.1200 points to trade at 5.2340 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 1.98% or 0.160 points to end at 8.235 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 1.78% or 0.58 points to 33.24 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 1.03% or 0.32 points to trade at 30.72 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 0.57% or 0.21 points to end at 36.92 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) shed 0.53% or 0.03 points to 5.58.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 57 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.65% or 0.47 to $72.68 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.01% or 0.66 to hit $66.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.15% or 1.80 to trade at $1196.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.45% to 1.1534, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8966.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 95.41.
