Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.57%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 2.36% or 0.33 points to trade at 14.34 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 1.74% or 0.14 points to end at 8.30 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) was up 1.51% or 0.16 points to 10.73 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 0.64% or 0.29 points to trade at 45.08 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 0.42% or 0.18 points to end at 43.18 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 0.41% or 0.07 points to 16.99.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 101 to 71 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for February delivery was up 0.12% or 0.09 to $72.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $68.76 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.03% or 0.86 to trade at $2,665.66 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.09% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 106.14.
