Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.56%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 1.94% or 0.95 points to trade at 49.84 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 1.81% or 0.19 points to end at 10.97 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 1.67% or 0.68 points to 41.31 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which lost 2.93% or 0.47 points to trade at 15.59 in late trade. Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) declined 1.71% or 0.36 points to end at 20.74 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) shed 1.26% or 0.18 points to 14.11.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 70 and 20 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was up 2.52% or 1.78 to $72.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.97% or 2.00 to hit $69.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.55% or 39.35 to trade at $2,581.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.26% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 101.52.
