Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.36% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 2.48% or 0.17 points to trade at 7.24 at the close. Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.94% or 0.72 points to end at 37.82 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 1.44% or 0.55 points to 38.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 2.64% or 1.05 points to trade at 38.79 in late trade. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) declined 0.54% or 0.25 points to end at 45.63 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) shed 0.29% or 0.11 points to 37.59.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 78 to 54 and 25 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 2.24% or 1.25 to $57.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.86% or 0.93 to hit $50.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 0.72 to trade at $1276.08 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1710, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8916.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 93.72.
