Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Financials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which rose 2.53% or 0.24 points to trade at 9.72 at the close. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 1.41% or 0.85 points to end at 61.15 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 1.33% or 0.24 points to 17.87 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 1.67% or 0.06 points to trade at 3.23 in late trade. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) declined 1.28% or 1.15 points to end at 88.50 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) shed 1.16% or 0.24 points to 20.44.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 84 to 80 and 24 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.49% or 0.39 to $79.55 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.66% or 0.50 to hit $76.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.31% or 7.75 to trade at $2,471.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 102.90.
