Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.31%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which rose 6.50% or 0.34 points to trade at 5.49 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 4.79% or 1.44 points to end at 31.48 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 2.79% or 0.49 points to 18.26 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which lost 4.78% or 0.242 points to trade at 4.824 in late trade. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 3.12% or 0.89 points to end at 27.59 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) shed 2.91% or 1.01 points to 33.71.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 84 to 58 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.81% or 0.60 to $74.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.65% or 0.45 to hit $69.75 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 5.50 to trade at $1226.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.1663, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8884.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 94.41.
