Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES), which rose 5.43% or 0.43 points to trade at 8.31 at the close. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 4.91% or 0.85 points to end at 18.15 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 4.35% or 0.15 points to 3.55 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which lost 5.20% or 2.08 points to trade at 37.90 in late trade. Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) declined 2.86% or 1.55 points to end at 52.70 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 2.11% or 0.25 points to 11.61.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 89 to 76 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.29% or 0.24 to $81.95 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.73% or 0.57 to hit $78.16 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 2.35% or 56.75 to trade at $2,358.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.22% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.37% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 103.99.
