Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.25% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 3.45% or 0.57 points to trade at 17.23 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 2.47% or 0.23 points to end at 9.55 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) was up 2.45% or 0.54 points to 22.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which lost 2.38% or 1.28 points to trade at 52.61 in late trade. Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) declined 1.84% or 0.90 points to end at 48.04 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) shed 1.41% or 0.29 points to 20.21.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 92 to 69 and 30 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.31% or 0.22 to $71.31 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.44% or 0.30 to hit $67.97 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.86% or 23.05 to trade at $2,671.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.12, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 100.21.
