Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 2.91% or 0.63 points to trade at 22.28 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 1.13% or 0.185 points to end at 16.565 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was up 1.12% or 0.35 points to 31.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB), which lost 2.59% or 1.23 points to trade at 46.25 in late trade. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.89% or 0.1000 points to end at 5.1820 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) shed 1.61% or 0.59 points to 36.09.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 73 to 70 and 18 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.82% or 0.66 to $81.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $72.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.40 to trade at $1205.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1772, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8942.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 93.70.
