Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.10% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 4.13% or 0.250 points to trade at 6.310 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.82% or 0.120 points to end at 6.730 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was up 1.71% or 0.210 points to 12.510 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which lost 5.39% or 1.97 points to trade at 34.58 in late trade. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.05% or 0.19 points to end at 17.87 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) shed 0.91% or 0.19 points to 20.66.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 71 to 71 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.19% or 0.11 to $57.99 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $51.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.70 to trade at $1284.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1791, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8936.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 93.30.
