Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA), which rose 2.79% or 1.70 points to trade at 62.70 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES) added 1.69% or 0.14 points to end at 8.56 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) was up 1.41% or 0.30 points to 21.62 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO), which lost 2.39% or 1.01 points to trade at 41.29 in late trade. Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) declined 1.03% or 0.90 points to end at 86.85 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) shed 0.81% or 0.09 points to 10.47.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 78 and 22 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.79% or 0.58 to $73.12 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.77% or 0.54 to hit $69.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.18% or 4.55 to trade at $2,596.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.25% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 100.60.
