Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 3.71% or 0.52 points to trade at 14.54 at the close. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.19% or 0.31 points to end at 14.23 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 1.39% or 0.25 points to 17.83 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO), which lost 2.19% or 0.21 points to trade at 9.15 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.66% or 0.07 points to end at 3.97 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) shed 1.44% or 0.14 points to 9.32.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 96 to 74 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.25% or 0.91 to $73.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.35% or 0.93 to hit $69.68 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.48% or 12.60 to trade at $2,664.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.75% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.18% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 107.11.
