Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which rose 2.75% or 0.99 points to trade at 36.94 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) added 1.31% or 0.36 points to end at 27.92 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 1.30% or 0.50 points to 38.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Valmt (HE:VALMT), which lost 2.27% or 0.42 points to trade at 18.08 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) declined 1.77% or 0.10 points to end at 5.54 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) shed 1.59% or 1.16 points to 71.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 79 to 65 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.15% or 0.12 to $77.97 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.31% or 0.21 to hit $68.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.53% or 6.40 to trade at $1207.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.60% to 1.1693, while EUR/GBP fell 0.04% to 0.8889.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.49% at 94.04.
