PARIS, FRANCE - Eviden, a business unit of the Atos Group specializing in advanced computing, has announced the release of the BullSequana AI 600, a mid-range artificial intelligence (AI) server family.
This new series, created in collaboration with AMD (NASDAQ:AMD), features the AMD Instinct MI300X accelerator and targets businesses requiring 8-GPU servers for AI development.
The BullSequana AI 600 aims to provide a balance between cost and performance, ensuring customers receive value for their investment. It boasts substantial compute capabilities and is designed to assist developers, data scientists, and researchers in advancing innovation and computation.
The product line offers air-cooled (AI600) and Direct Liquid Cooling (DLC) technology-equipped (AI600H) servers. Eviden's DLC technology, which cools both CPU and GPU boards, allows up to 80% heat retention, providing density within data centers and enabling cost savings and scalability for businesses.
Each server in the BullSequana AI 600 family is equipped with two 4th Gen AMD EPYC processors and eight AMD Instinct MI300X accelerators. These accelerators are interconnected via an Infinity Fabric network and boast 304 compute cores and up to 5.22 PFLOPS of theoretical peak performance (FP8), among other specifications.
Bruno Lecointe from Eviden and Andrew Dieckmann from AMD highlighted the collaboration's focus on performance-to-cost excellence and energy efficiency, which is poised to drive AI and high-performance computing innovation.
Eviden now claims 50 systems in the TOP500 list of the world's most powerful supercomputers, with two in the TOP10. Additionally, the exascale supercomputer JUPITER's first module, JEDI, tops the Green500, a rank for energy-efficient supercomputers.
The BullSequana AI product line includes a range of servers and software optimized for AI workloads across various applications, from data centers to edge computing. The offering complies with the EU AI act, ensuring ethical and confidential AI solution development.
