Best Buy Co Inc (NYSE: BBY) Canada has listed a new version of the PlayStation 5 controller, the DualSense "V2," priced at C$89.99.
According to Kotaku, the updated controller is reported to offer double the battery life, with a claimed 12-hour duration compared to the original's six hours.
One of the listing’s bullet points mentions that its “Exceptional 12-hour battery life, on a full charge, supports long gaming sessions.”
Despite the longer battery life, the DualSense V2 retains the same features as its predecessor, including haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, a headphone jack, and a touchpad.
Additionally, the DualSense V2 comes with a charging station offering "click-in charging" as a complimentary perk.
The $89.99 price point in Canada is attributed to the exchange rate, and it's anticipated that the DualSense V2 will be priced at the same $69.99 as the original in the U.S.
While the improved battery life is seen as a welcome enhancement, the DualSense V2 is considered a modest upgrade compared to the more feature-rich and expensive DualSense Edge released by Sony Group Corp (NYSE: SONY) last year, priced at $200.
