Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 2.34% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Carlsberg A/S B (COP:CARLb), which fell 0.48% or 2.5 points to trade at 515.0 at the close. TDC A/S (COP:TDC) fell 0.78% or 0.33 points to end at 42.24 and Genmab (COP:GEN) was down 1.37% or 8.0 points to 575.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems (COP:VWS), which lost 4.53% or 16.1 points to trade at 339.3 in late trade. Novo Nordisk B (COP:NOVOb) declined 3.78% or 14.5 points to end at 368.8 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (COP:CHRH) shed 3.37% or 11.6 points to 332.9.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 132 to 21 and 3 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.71% or 1.12 to $40.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.48% or 1.16 to hit $45.47 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.51% or 5.90 to trade at $1159.10 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 1.08% to 6.5682, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4634.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.87% at 94.94.
