Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 0.67%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which rose 6.60% or 27.4 points to trade at 442.3 at the close. Oersted A/S (CO:ORSTED) added 0.88% or 3.60 points to end at 411.50 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) was up 0.46% or 3.0 points to 659.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa), which lost 2.87% or 215 points to trade at 7280 in late trade. GN Store Nord (CO:GN) declined 2.81% or 8.3 points to end at 286.7 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) shed 2.51% or 196 points to 7600.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 78 to 35 and 20 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.25% or 1.67 to $72.44 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 3.28% or 2.59 to hit $76.27 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.70% or 8.80 to trade at $1246.60 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.30% to 6.3659, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4544.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 94.19.
