Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 5.00% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (COP:GEN), which rose 10.68% or 49.8 points to trade at 516.0 at the close. Novo Nordisk B (COP:NOVOb) added 10.36% or 34.7 points to end at 369.7 and Danske Bank A/S (COP:DANSKE) was up 3.28% or 5.8 points to 182.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included FLSmidth & Co. (COP:FLS), which lost 1.85% or 5.8 points to trade at 308.2 in late trade. Tryg A/S (COP:TRYG) declined 1.45% or 12.0 points to end at 817.0 and TDC A/S (COP:TDC) shed 1.30% or 0.65 points to 49.45.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 98 to 63 and 4 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.07% or 1.58 to $49.85 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.56% or 1.51 to hit $57.67 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.43% or 5.20 to trade at $1199.60 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.20% to 6.8482, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4687.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 97.52.
