Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.44%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 1.92% or 190 points to trade at 10100 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) added 1.74% or 165 points to end at 9640 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) was up 1.42% or 0.47 points to 33.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which lost 2.04% or 4.7 points to trade at 225.9 in late trade. Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) declined 1.01% or 2.7 points to end at 265.9 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) shed 0.39% or 1.5 points to 382.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 85 to 52 and 24 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.50% or 0.26 to $51.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.95% or 0.52 to hit $54.98 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.66% or 7.75 to trade at $1170.05 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.73% to 6.9239, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4399.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.45% at 100.30.
