Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 3.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 5.67% or 33.40 points to trade at 622.60 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) added 4.53% or 4.30 points to end at 98.70 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was up 3.62% or 400.00 points to 11,450.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA), which lost 1.10% or 8.00 points to trade at 720.00 in late trade. Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) declined 0.61% or 1.60 points to end at 261.80 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) shed 0.50% or 4.00 points to 793.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 97 to 47 and 11 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.94% or 0.65 to $68.81 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.01% or 0.73 to hit $71.83 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.62% or 16.31 to trade at $2,628.79 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.25% to 7.17, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 107.90.
