Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 3.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (COP:GEN), which rose 8.83% or 49.5 points to trade at 610.0 at the close. ISS A/S (COP:ISS) added 5.91% or 12.90 points to end at 231.00 and TDC A/S (COP:TDC) was up 4.03% or 1.64 points to 42.34 in late trade.
Biggest losers included William Demant Holding (COP:WDH), which added 0.65% or 3.5 points to trade at 544.0 in late trade. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (COP:MAERSKa) added 1.56% or 170 points to end at 11050 and A.P. Moller - Maersk B (COP:MAERSKb) gained 1.62% or 180 points to 11300.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 115 to 41 and 5 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 8.50% or 3.28 to $41.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 7.55% or 3.25 to hit $46.40 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.19% or 2.10 to trade at $1122.50 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.84% to 6.6531, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4636.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.71% at 95.98.
