Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 4.80% or 426 points to trade at 9294 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) added 3.95% or 13.1 points to end at 344.5 and Ambu A/S (CO:AMBUb) was up 3.30% or 4.4 points to 137.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included GN Store Nord (CO:GN), which lost 5.56% or 14.0 points to trade at 238.0 in late trade. William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) declined 0.76% or 1.5 points to end at 196.5 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) gained 0.27% or 1.6 points to 604.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 80 to 48 and 16 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.30% or 1.16 to $51.58 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.54% or 1.50 to hit $60.54 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1228.60 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.04% to 6.5791, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4614.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 96.885.
