Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 3.26% or 5.10 points to trade at 160.10 at the close. Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA) added 3.19% or 29.00 points to end at 938.50 and Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) was up 3.12% or 86.00 points to 2,840.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which lost 7.22% or 30.50 points to trade at 392.00 in late trade. ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) declined 3.30% or 4.20 points to end at 122.90 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) gained 0.14% or 1.50 points to 1,062.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 76 to 51 and 23 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.97% or 1.52 to $78.50 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 1.96% or 1.56 to hit $81.32 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.55% or 13.70 to trade at $2,493.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.23% to 6.79, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.32% at 102.71.
