Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb), which rose 2.77% or 16.70 points to trade at 619.50 at the close. Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE:ZELA) added 1.05% or 7.50 points to end at 720.00 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was up 0.94% or 7.40 points to 793.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which lost 7.40% or 7.70 points to trade at 96.70 in late trade. Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) declined 5.78% or 19.10 points to end at 311.50 and NKT Holding (CSE:NKT) shed 2.63% or 13.50 points to 500.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 94 to 36 and 18 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 1.05% or 0.78 to $73.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 1.01% or 0.78 to hit $76.27 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.60% or 16.04 to trade at $2,681.44 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.37% to 7.24, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 108.93.
