Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.88%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 4.47% or 7.00 points to trade at 162.60 at the close. Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) added 4.20% or 18.00 points to end at 446.40 and GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) was up 3.13% or 5.00 points to 164.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE), which added 0.19% or 0.40 points to trade at 205.60 in late trade. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 0.35% or 35.00 points to end at 9,920.00 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) gained 0.47% or 4.30 points to 918.50.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 22 and 31 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.86% or 0.59 to $69.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.83% or 0.60 to hit $72.57 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.02% or 26.25 to trade at $2,606.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.08% to 6.73, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.34% at 101.00.
