Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate, Financials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.22% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which rose 4.43% or 11.0 points to trade at 259.5 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) added 2.34% or 6.0 points to end at 262.7 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) was up 1.52% or 0.85 points to 56.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Genmab (CO:GEN), which lost 1.80% or 22.0 points to trade at 1202.0 in late trade. Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) declined 0.98% or 8.5 points to end at 862.0 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) shed 0.59% or 1.6 points to 267.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 94 to 50 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 4.33% or 1.94 to $46.70 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 4.54% or 2.10 to hit $48.35 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.80% or 24.45 to trade at $1332.15 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.27% to 6.7080, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4389.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 96.34.
