Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 2.20% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 1.25% or 120.0 points to trade at 9720.0 at the close. Conconcret (CN:CIC) fell 0.97% or 10.0 points to end at 1025.0 and Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) was down 1.08% or 20.0 points to 1835.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Celsia SA (CN:CEL), which lost 3.83% or 155.0 points to trade at 3895.0 in late trade. Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) declined 3.68% or 1140.0 points to end at 29820.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) shed 3.28% or 380.0 points to 11220.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 30 to 2 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 4.37% or 7.43 to $162.50 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.58% or 14.50 to hit $2464.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 1.21% or 15.35 to trade at $1258.15 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 3.81% to 3119.00, while BRL/COP fell 1.43% to 920.58.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 98.80.
