Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Investment, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 1.37% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Isagen SA (CN:ISG), which rose 1.35% or 55.0 points to trade at 4120.0 at the close. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) added 0.96% or 120.0 points to end at 12680.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 0.96% or 20.0 points to 2100.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p), which lost 3.43% or 1300.0 points to trade at 36600.0 in late trade. Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) declined 3.39% or 1300.0 points to end at 37000.0 and Cemargos (CN:CCB) shed 3.37% or 380.0 points to 10880.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 9 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 1.14% or 1.37 to $121.40 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July fell 1.12% or 35.50 to hit $3143.50 , while the June Gold contract rose 0.34% or 4.30 to trade at $1278.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.02% to 2956.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.25% to 834.98.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.50% at 93.74.
