Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Services, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.81% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 3.41% or 240.0 points to trade at 7280.0 at the close. Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) added 0.65% or 160.0 points to end at 24600.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) was up 0.43% or 100.0 points to 23500.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which lost 4.41% or 600.0 points to trade at 13000.0 in late trade. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) declined 4.07% or 55.0 points to end at 1295.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 3.89% or 75.0 points to 1855.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 7 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 3.08% or 3.77 to $118.72 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 1.04% or 34.00 to hit $3231.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 1.23% or 14.10 to trade at $1131.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.64% to 3122.50, while BRL/COP fell 1.31% to 763.19.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.19% at 96.18.
