Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Services and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.65% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Isagen SA (CN:ISG), which rose 0.54% or 15.0 points to trade at 2775.0 at the close. Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) added 0.40% or 5.0 points to end at 1235.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 0.39% or 100.0 points to 25880.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 6.06% or 350.0 points to trade at 5430.0 in late trade. Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) declined 4.02% or 310.0 points to end at 7410.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) shed 3.11% or 130.0 points to 4050.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 22 to 10 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.78% or 2.17 to $119.92 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.42% or 13.50 to hit $3181.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.66% or 7.20 to trade at $1093.20 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.39% to 2860.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.10% to 850.93.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.74% at 96.62.
